I am assuming you are referring to the new WooCommerce version, to get a better idea about your site setup, please share a copy of your site’s System Status: You can find it by navigating to WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?So that we can address your question better.

To be honest, this is not my site, it isn’t even in my hosting account, I am only a collaborator helping a family member out. So until they actually complain I may just leave it as is and hopefully it will be fixed along with all the other bugs and the banner will go away at some point in the future. In the meantime, the site seems to work fine, on which I only do basic maintenance and plugin installations, but I won’t actually be developing this site, so I don’t particularly care. I don’t otherwise work with Woo in any way.

You can redact any identifiable information such as website URL, etc.

If you’d rather not post your System Status here, you can paste it somewhere else like https://pastebin.com/ and share with us a link to it. You can set the deadline to a week or two weeks, giving us enough time to look at it and help you with the issue. Setting an expiration date will automatically remove the paste in Pastebin.

Let’s not worry about it. I haven’t really got the time nor inclination to do all that, for someone else I’ve already done enough of a favour. What I did do was deactivate all other plugins and the problem persisted. At least the site seems to be working fine. I may come back to this, if the site owner actually complains about it, otherwise I don’t go in there unless they ask me to, and only if I have time.

I’m marking this as resolved, even though it isn’t really. But thanks all the same, much appreciated.

Ok, now it seems to have been resolved, after I went for the nuclear option.

De-activating all other plugins and switching to a default WP theme, didn’t work.

Simply deleting and re-installing Woo, didn’t work.

Flushing absolutely all browser and server caches, clearing cookies etc, didn’t work.

What did work was deleting Woo, all the (5) pages it creates, then going in to phpMyAdmin and dropping all the Woo tables in there too.

When I re-installed Woo, all tables were re-created, and the banner in question appears to be gone. Let’s hope it stays gone. The only other thing I had to do was run the re-create Woo pages tool.

Now let’s suppose I, or the owner of this site, had a fully functioning store. How would we have done this? and not lost everything? Restoring from backups may have just restored the problem.

To be honest, I am entertaining the idea of my own Woo store, after I first find something to sell, so I guess my mission now is to hopefully understand more of how this all works in order to be better prepared for when my turn to get rich online comes. Then I can finally buy a boat and go live, and work on it. Land living is getting more expensive by the day.
