    Hi there,

Recently I attempted create some coupons using my Editor role, but it is saying I do not have sufficient permissions to do so. The strange thing is, nothing has changed on the admin/permissions side to affect the Editor role.

Is this an issue with this plugin?

    Thanks?

    Hi @mungbean,

In the recent update, we have added an option to control which user roles have the ability to create, edit and import coupons.

Please go to Coupons > Settings from an administrator account and select Editor role there.

    Check the screenshot:

Please let me know if the issue still persists.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I am using version 3.0.5 of this plugin (free), and comparing the screenshot to what I’m seeing in the admin account, I am not seeing the “social print links” nor the “allowed user roles” options from the Coupon > Settings page. I can’t make the suggested permission change.

I am also using the User Role Editor plugin, version 4.59.1, and have enabled all 11 permissions for the Editor role under the Coupon permissions group.

    Please advise

I am sorry to hear that.

We will work on it again and hopefully come up with a fix as soon as possible.

Thank you! This is a great plugin, but is currently unusable beyond the admin role. I’m not sure why the additional user roles settings in your screenshot are not showing in the admin dashboard.

What’s the ETA for a solution to this? I have version 3.0.5. Is there any troubleshooting I can do to help solve this?

What is the status? the current release is still 3.0.5 and the permissions problem still is not fixed

The original permissions issue is still persisting with version 3.1.0, I am unable to give permissions to Editor role.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the plugin settings options as the admin. I am running the latest 3.1.0 version and have disabled the User Role Editor plugin, assuming that may be the issue, but it didn’t fix it.

As you can see, several options that are in your provided screenshot are not provided, specifically the permissions options.

I’ve done a fresh install of 3.1.0 on a testing localhost, and even as the superuser, there are no permissions options in the plugin settings. Have they been removed since your original reply/screenshot?

How do I configure permissions for non-admin users like editors? What role management plugins are compatible and recommended?
