Coupon Code cannot be applied in checkout page

In WooCommerce > Settings > General, I have ticked the option to “enable the use of coupon codes from the cart and checkout pages”.

This is likely a theme issue. Before we confirm that though, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

In the latest version of WooCommerce, you can find coupon management page under Marketing > Coupons.

You are right, it does appear to be a theme issue. When I change back from “Astra Child” to “Astra” theme, the coupon code appears. However I lose some of the minor changes that I had a website tech complete for me. The coding is something I have no idea about.

The changes I asked him to make to the checkout page were really minor. They were just wording changes such as changing “Order notes or notes about delivery” to “Write your gift card message here”. For some reason, it seems the small changes he made to the checkout page has seemed to remove the coupon code option.
I’m not sure where to go from here….. I cant seem to get much of a reply from the website tech.

If your developer isn’t able to fix the problem with the child theme, the best way forward would be to reach out to a third-party developer who can, or use a different theme that meets your store expectations.
