• I’ve searched through here and haven’t yet found solutions to my two problems – thanks for your patience with me ??
    1) when displaying the main gallery page, the thumbnails are in a single vertical row instead of being displayed in a grid. Code is “[album id=1 template=extend]” and here is a link.
    2) Also, is there a way so that when the user clicks on the thumbnail from one of the individual pages (like this – which is also not displaying properly btw) it would simply display the image on the same page? I guess I would like the individual gallery pages to work like the ones that are generated with the “[nggallery id=3]” code. I realize I can do this manually by creating individual pages and inserting the code manually, but was hoping to create them on the fly…

Nothing huh? Hoping I described the problem(s) accurately. Are my questions just so basic?
Guessing that for #1 above, I could modify the CSS by adding a float;left; to the thumbnail div – yes?
Also guessing that for #2 I’m just SOL – trying to get the gallery to work in a way that it’s just not designed to?

These are all set by options in the NextGen Gallery Plugin.

To Display multiple columns of thumbnails:

Admin Dashboard>Gallery>Options>Gallery Tab>set ‘Number of columns’

Then test the 5 other options below this one.

    Thanks for the response –
yup – been there and tried that. Doesn’t matter what number I input for “Number of columns” – still show up in a single row. (currently I have “4”)

“test the 5 other options below this one” unfortunately doesn’t help much. Uh – have been banging my head against the wall for a few hours – so further “testing” on the same items isn’t going to fix anything

Works like a charm for me on several sites…not sure what else to advise you.
