A single pin shows more than 1k saves and the traffic being driven to the URL supports those numbers.

The share count, however, is grossly off, however, as you can see in the link provided.

I understand that there needs to be a caching delay in the name of speed (thanks) but we’re now at many days.

What kind of troubleshooting can I do?

PS – I wrote into support and never heard back which is why I’m posting here.

    Thanks

    Hey @nennisb,

Thank you for reaching out with this message. I’ve just checked my help desk software and I found your email and also the reply I’ve sent you.

Please check your inbox and also your spam folder and let me know if the email reached you.

I’ve just manually checked the pin counts that are displayed on your website versus what Pinterest returns and it seems the numbers are pretty close.

If you click the following link, which is the one provided by Pinterest to access pin counts, you can see what Pinterest returns: https://api.pinterest.com/v1/urls/count.json?url=https://rufflesandrainboots.com/mermaid-foot-scrub/

From what I can tell, the social share counts system connects to Pinterest and saves the pins counts as Pinterest provides them. The number of pins shown on Pinterest for the pin also looks to be in the same range.

I believe this might have been a delay on Pinterest’s part to provide accurate pin counts through their API. A few other customers have reported similar issues a few weeks back.

    All the best,
    Mihai
