    Hi,

on your screenshots and when I tried your plugin in the past I remember seeing country flags in all the logs, which is a nice and fast optical queue when scrolling through the log files.

I cant see these flags anymore and couldnt find an option to turn them on.

Is this supposed to be like that, or a premium feature .. or did I overlooked something?

    Thx

    … little follow up:

    1) is there an option to erase 100% of all and every data when uninstalling the plugin?

    2) at the moment I am using both wordfence and cerber .. but since I like cerber much better I would like to transfer completely to cerber. Now, my question is: Is it okay to run both plugins at the same time? If I want to make the switch to cerber – does cerber provide the same kind of protection in terms of hardening the site – for example in terms of:

    – Prevent discovery of usernames through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, the WordPress REST API, and WordPress XML Sitemaps
    – Don’t let WordPress reveal valid users in login errors

    …?

    Thx in advance

Regarding flags: yes, it’s a premium feature. Probably you had a subscription for the PRO version of WP Cerber and it’s ended now.

    1. When you delete WP Cerber from within the WordPress dashboard by clicking “Delete”, it wipes all its data.

    2. You can use them both, but this can cause false positives like blocking legit users, so you need to monitor WP Cerber’s logs.

Prevent discovery of usernames – yes, except “through WordPress XML Sitemaps”. Although I do not see much value in this last feature (if you see a username in the sitemap, it is usually shown in the HTML code of a post/page), it will be implemented soon.

We do not have “Don’t let WordPress reveal valid users in login errors” – it makes little sense from a security standpoint because, after a few errors, an IP address will be blocked, and further attempts will provide no information. It looks like a marketing gimmick.

At Cerber Tech, we monitor and analyze cybersecurity incidents, and I have to assure you that discovering usernames is far from being a threat you need to worry about.

    Hi Gregory,

THX!! for the answers!! ?? … I am not a developer, which is why I asked and which is why I appreciate these answers and explanations! ??

I already made the switch and subscribed. I really like your plugin for a lot of reasons – I love the logs, it is very intuitive and highly insightful and feels very well rounded. And I feel like it actually catches/blocks more incidents – even this day to day nasty stuff, that is probably not very dangerous but still highly annoying.

PS: to other potential readers … I am not getting paid for that ?? … its really just my opinion.
