    Hi,

A valid NL VAT number is validated as ‘not valid’. When I turn on Debug mode I see:

2022-09-27T14:23:27+00:00 INFO Error: Exception: INVALID_INPUT (Country: []; VAT ID: []; Company: []; Method: [soap])
2022-09-27T14:23:27+00:00 INFO Error: VAT ID not valid (Country: []; VAT ID: []; Company: []; Method: [curl])

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

When you try on the site, can you please at the same time try on the official VIES website here:
    https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/

It’s sometimes a temp server issue, let us know if you still have the issue.

    Hello Omar,

I have tried and checked but on the official VIES website the Dutch VAT number is valid and on the website it’s not.

Okay, can you please share screenshots of plugin settings (1st & 2nd tab)?

    Hi Omar,

I think I found the problem/solution. When I uncheck this option: Check for matching billing country code, the validation works. Maybe this is because I am using an extra plugin for the registration form but I have to say that this plugin was also used from this beginning and the validation did work before.

I would think that te option ‘Check for matching billing country code’ was also checked from the beginning but if this option was added by an update, and checked by default, then I guessing the issue started after the update.

Anyway, the validation is working again so that’s great!

    Hey @joeri1977

Thanks for the feedback, no this option isn’t recent, it has been there for a couple of years, so I’m not sure what might cause this (maybe something from the other plugin? I don’t know tbh).

Glad to know it’s all working fine now, will be available in case any help is needed, and if you’re enjoying the plugin, please consider reviewing it.

    Omar
