    Hello,

I am unable to understand the logic behind the display of various payment methods with Stripe.

For example, Giropay is shown to everyone, regardless of the billing country (it should only be shown in Germany). On the plugin dashboard, I read:

Select payments available to customers at checkout. Based on their device type, location, and purchase history, your customers will only see the most relevant payment methods.

But this does not seem to be the case in reality. This also happens with other payment methods, for example with iDeal. They are shown to all customers worldwide, not based on relevance.

Furthermore, can you confirm that it is currently not possible to hide the various payment methods conditionally (e.g., based on the customer’s billing country) with filters in any way?

All this makes the checkout process quite confusing for those who see irrelevant payment methods.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello @bluoberon,

Thanks for reaching out to WooCommerce support.

I understand your concern about the payment methods displayed based on the country. To better assist you, could you please confirm which payment methods you’re currently using on your site?

By default, it’s not possible to apply conditions for payment methods based on the country. To achieve this functionality, I would recommend our?Conditional Shipping and Payments?plugin. This plugin gives you a streamlined way to restrict the shipping methods, payment gateways, and shipping destinations available to your customers.

This extension should help you achieve the desired functionality and make the checkout process less confusing for your customers.

As always, all of our extensions come with a?30-day refund policy. If you are unhappy with the product or if it does not work the way you expected, feel free to contact us, and we can refund your purchase.

You can also consider other options by?searching in the WordPress plugin repository.

Let me know if you have further questions or need assistance with the extension!

Thank you for your response. Some of the payment methods that are not relevant across Europe and that all users still see were mentioned in my previous point: GiroPay is a good example. iDeal is another example. The indication shown in the dashboard, which states that payment methods are displayed dynamically, does not seem to be respected.

Thank you for the plugin suggestion: it is important to note that I use the official Stripe plugin to manage payments, not Woo Payments. Can you confirm that the plugin you indicated is able to show or hide the different payment methods within the Stripe plugin, based, for example, on the billing country?

    Thank you.
