• We have a WP website up that accomodates public users and member users under one URL. I’d like to establish a “hit counter” for the main page (everybody who sees the homepage – public and members) and then a “hit counter” for just the members only area (requires a username/password which already works fine).

Let’s say I have 10 people hit the main page today. Of those 10, 2 are “members”. These 2 members log in to the members only sub-page where they can then do several types of members only things. I need a count (number) of 10 off the main page and a count (number) of 2 from just members “sub-page” if that’s the right term. Is there a widget to do that?

Since no one seems to want to help, I’m moving on to another forum with this. Quite disappointed. And looking down the list of other questioners who have had no response, I can bet I’m not alone. Yes, it’s free software folks…

Code is Poetry and Setting it Up is He11…

    Hi Hoib,

There are stat plugins, that far exceed any basic counter scripts like you’re describing.

Any free counter site could easily accommodate your needs and it would be very simple to add to the necessary couple lines of counter site code to the necessary files.
