Another question. When someone clicks the like button, that like doesn’t register and connect to Facebook, correct? It appears as though the thumbs up on the icon turns into a check mark and the counter increases just on the blog.

The number of likes/shares of your Facebook posts doesn’t have any connection to the number of times your website’s post has been liked/shared

That’s strange. On Facebook, that post currently has 23 likes and 8 shares.

Your website’s post and your post on Facebook are two different entities. Both can be liked/shared but they’re still separate.
