Count Interval

  • Hello Ajay,

    I am migrating from Post Views Counter Plugin as it isn’t working with Litespeed cache plugin.

    Your plugin is great, except one thing: it has no “Count Interval”. It’s really a big problem because I’m going to use your Popular Authors plugin too.

    Think this way, I have a multi-author blog where I will show top authors.
    An author may refresh his post over and over to get in the top authors list. How can I prevent this?

    Post View Counter plugin has an option that is called count interval. If I set count interval for 24 hours, a user’s visit will count once in a 24 hours window.
    So if any author try to refresh the page multiple times, he won’t be count multiple times.

    Please add this.

    I’ve so far avoided such kind of tracking to avoid collecting any personally identifiable data or cookies.

    I’ll explore this, but I can’t promise that it’s something I’ll implement in the near future.
