    I’m wondering: Are the counts based on download ID or version number? I’d like to be able to replace a file without worrying about resetting the download counter (i.e., updating a PDF file that has a typo in it).

    I can always manually edit the count, but I’m curious if there’s a way to aggregate and display a file’s version counts automatically, hopefully while still being able to view the separate counts in the admin panel.

  • They’re based on the total number of downloads of all version. So if you actually remove a version that will affect the download count but if you create a new version or replace the file path of a current version it won’t.
