• I’ve recently started to receive this error “Couldn’t resolve host ‘downloads.www.remarpro.com'”. My server runs automatic “release” WHM updates so I guess that could be somehow related, but if I ping the domain from SSH, I get positive results.

    — www.remarpro.com ping statistics —
11 packets transmitted, 11 received, 0% packet loss, time 10002ms
    rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 112.833/113.932/124.034/3.223 ms

Any ideas on what I should check?

  • I assume this occurs when there’s WP core update going on. Try running a plugin update, or installing a new one via the dashboard.

This occurs when I try to update the plugins, if I try to install a new plugin I get a blank page, if I view the source it’s not complete, <body> does not even start.

I did a bit of searching, and it appears to be a issue your web host may be having. Here’s a decent-sized thread about the problem.

This may be what you’re experiencing. Good luck!

    Thanks Chris!
I’ve already seen that and raised a ticket with my host, let’s see if they can fix it from the first try ??

Turns out it’s not the server after all. I have another WP install on the same server and I didn’t have the problem there.

I disabled all the plugins I have and then could update them, without the error. I’ve re-activated them again and everything seems to be fine, one of them must have had a bug or something.
