• Even after uninstalling this plugin, I continued to get adds across the top of my admin pages. Every page said I had to set up MonsterInsights across the top. I even had an admin link on the left for it also. The ad, and the link, both took me to the page to set up MonsterInsights. After some research, I found that a folder was created called “google-analytics-for-Wordpress. Once I completely deleted this folder from my root directory, it finally went away. Very inappropriate to leave spam behind after uninstalling. I wouldn’t recommend.

    Hi @popmunkii,

I’m sorry to hear you’ve encountered an issue on your site while trying to delete MonsterInsights!

Our plugin’s folder is labelled as google-analytics-for-wordpress and removing this folder will uninstall MonsterInsights. If this was left behind while attempting to uninstall our plugin, then that is definitely an odd issue since we don’t have any prior reports of a similar problem occurring during uninstallation.

I understand that you’ve resolved the issue now, but I just wanted to mention if this happens again somehow, or if there’s something else that doesn’t look right, we’d be happy to take a closer look at what’s going on if you could reach out to us https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/.

    Thank you.
