Couldn’t get captcha to work

I tried all the advice provided for this plugin and could never get the captcha to work at all. Because it didn’t work I was effectively locked out of my site and could only access it via the server directly. I tried deactivating other plugins, etc the usual troubleshooting but nothing I did seemed to make any difference.
