@ckabi, when did you submit the sitemap? Sometimes, your server is slow to respond, which could be a factor.

24 hours before. How long do you think I should wait?

That’s enough time. All of your sitemaps passed a validation check. So long as your posts are not blocking search engines, I can next suggest removing the sitemap and re-adding it to Google Search Console.

Seems like the same problem that i am having whit some of my sitemap and i have also remove and adding them again and it end up trowing the same error: Couldn’t fetch

I removed the whole site from console and re-added. I will wait few hours

the option in wordpress to discourage indexing is not enabled. Should I check something else?

just for the records, after so many days the problem persists

I have 7 pages indexed and 1 not indexed (I dont know how this is possible), but I still get the error “Couldn’t fetch”

Do you think if I make manually a sitemap just to check would be helpfull? To undestand where is the problem. website, google, plugin

@ckabi Do all your sitemap get the same error or is it that some sitemap google seems to be able to process? I have a problem related to this to.

I have another wordpress website (same hosting) that works perfect.

This is a new website that I tried to setup recently

Google Support says to check the sitemap with the URL inspector in Google Search Console. Has anyone already done this?

When i test two of my sitemap it say: URL is not available to Google even if that sitemap can be fetch in the google sitemap section and provide information in the sitemap section.

This is what i get from Google URL inspection.

I’m having the same problem. I just happened to check Google Search Console and found a ‘couldn’t fetch’ error under sitemaps.

Also, when I look at the post-sitemap.xml that’s generated there are only 10 posts from January 2024. The rest of my posts (400+) from the past two years are not in the sitemap or being found.

    Any help would be appreciated!

I am also having this problem.

The maps are generated and accessible and I have verified correct format.

I believe we’ve found the solution, and it will be addressed in the forthcoming release. Thanks for your help and patience.
