• I’ve used Site Kit in the past, and even though it wasn’t a comprehensive plugin, it did work. I’ve been using the new G4 Analytics since the beginning of the year and couldn’t connect it to Site Kit. What happened to the old manual configurations? – the only option the plugin would give me was to create a new G4 and UA account, which I obviously didn’t need. Really dissappointing!

    Hi @jbxxxxxx,

Sorry to hear of your review. When you mention that the only option for you to connect your site was to create a new one was to create a new one can you confirm that you selected a Google account during set up that already has a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Universal Property (UA) property ready?

In addition if the Google Analytics used to set up Site Kit, if the Google Analytics account selected doesn’t contain a GA4 or UA property, it’s normal and expected behavior that the plugin creates one in order to connect. This hasn’t changed. It’s always been the case that a user must select an existing property or allow the plugin to create one.

If you’re willing to give the plugin another try I’d be happy to take a look at this further if you can confirm that you’ve checked the Google Account used to set up Site Kit, and also the Google Analytics account selected when connecting the Analytics module.

If you have already confirmed this, I’d be happy to investigate this further if you’d like to share your Site Health information.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
