Could you strip spaces from anchors

Hello!

Great simple plugin.

Could you have the plugin strip any spaces out of the slug, or better yet format it as a proper slug automatically no matter what people put in. I had an accidental space at the end of my anchor and couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work.
