First of all, I love your plugin. It’s a must install on almost all my sites and makes testing access control and dashboard customization for various users/groups so much easier, so… thanks!

Now the problem. On one of my sites, I’m suddenly getting the error “Could not switch users” whenever I try to do so from the user list. Any idea what could be causing this?

The problem seems to be related to a setting in the iThemes Security plugin. When it’s disabled, User Switching works as expected. I’ll update this thread for posterity when I figure out what the exact issue is.

Which setting in iThemes Security is causing a problem?

It appears to be the long URL and suspicious query string setting. I am experimenting with this now.

Did you confirm the cause of the problem?

I’m experiencing the same, but turning off either or both the long URL and suspicious query string settings don’t appear to solve it.

Turning off long URL and suspicious query strings worked for me.

Thanks. I guess I’ll have to do a bit more digging in that case. I must have some other blockage.
