Could not properly close archive / Did not finish creating the backup archive.

    I installed this plugin sometimes ago but unfortunately I haven’t been able to have it back up my WordPress. This is what I get when I manually click on the backup button:

    Did not finish creating the backup archive. Try increasing the time limit.

    I tried increasing the timelimit to 240 but it didn’t work. What can I do?

  • I have the same error on a server I did not use before. I noticed it is hardened with the suhosin extension. Could that have anything to do with it? I paste the log file:

    Here are a couple possible reasons for getting that error:
    “Could not properly close archive ‘/home/username/public_html/folder/wp-content/backup-UNRsRRbOkV4o/Nameofwebsite-ma7n08.zip’.”
    1. you’re out of disk space
    2. you’re trying to backup files which you have no permission to read

    I have also this mistake.
    Space on a disk – unlimited.
    All files and directories on disk have read permission.

    Remarque: the archive is created in Google Drive without problems. What does this mistake mean? It’s a nice plugin, it is successfully made and well works. It would not be desirable to look for other similar plug-ins.
