• I tried using the free version of this plugin in order to import ACF data, but could not make it work.
Whenever I upload a file, I get an “Incorrect file type” error message. As there is no documentation, I could not understand whether the plugins expects CSV, XLS or anything else, nor the expected format for this file.
After some time, I thought I would export an existing custom post to check what it generated for me. A JSON file was generated (not the simpler thing to build in the first time), and my custom field (integer type) was not in there.
I was hopeful to finally put my hand on a free plugin for ACF import, but I am sorry to say that it’s not quite there.

Thanks for your feedback. We are improving our documentation.

After exporting ACF data, you will get a JSON file. This JSON file will be used when importing ACF data for posts/pages.

This plugin will work if you have an active ACF plugin and the same field structure on both sites.

If you need any support, please let us know. We are happy to support you.

Thank you but I moved to something else since then, using the REST API. I therefore do not need to give it a go again. Cheers about the video, even then I think that a properly written user manual still beats it (ability to search within it, indexed by search engines and so on). Have a nice day.
