• Search appears to work well and I do get results from both the widget and with the shortcode in a standalone page. However, I’m not able to see the thumbnail for the result. The thumbnail is clickable and opens the correct image, but the result is trying to load a link like this and not the actual URL:

    https://resight.global/internal-resources/stock-library/2777c2b1489422a5c8fec4b00f068029

Also, if I can get that image thumb to display on the search, I would also love to know how to limit the text displayed and change the formatting of the results. Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Andrea,
your example page search-ngg-images is not set up correctly. The square brackets for shortcodes must be set correctly.
In the wordpress editor, you should switch to text mode and enter the square brackets directly. If set correctly, wordpress will be able to recognize the shortcodes. If not set correctly, wordpress will not recognize the shortcodes. Instead, they will be displayed as plain text on the website (which is the case on your example page).

I had already deactivated the plugin when you responded because I was working on a different solution — that is why the shortcodes were showing in the post. I was able to get things working and went on with that, but forgot to delete this. Sorry!

OK, I close this thread as ‘not a support question’ as it seems to be not relevant any longer.
