Could not instantiate mail function – Multiple Emails arrive

    Hello,

    Using the List function in Ultimate WP Mail to send Mass Email I got the following message in de Email log for all users in the list
    “Could not instantiate mail function.”

    Althought 1 List Email action, I got messages from most of the users in the list that Emails arrived 4 or 6 times in their in boxes. Resulting also temporary Emailaddress block by the Provider

    Does anyone has a clue where the cause of this can be?

    Sending to one test user works fine

    Hello bruine,

    Thanks for contacting us. If the PHP installation is not configured to call the mail() function correctly, it can cause the error. As a workaround, I recommend using a plugin like WP Mail SMTP, which allows you to set it up so that these automatic emails are sent using your real external email address/SMTP server.
