I am having an issue when I try to add/update plugins for a customer who has hosting set up with a company I have never used before.

I have FTP’d the site via FileZilla and the /public_html/wp-content/plugins folder is set to 755 as are all of its subdirectories, I have even tried the more open 777 but still no joy. When the site went live last week it was fine and I was updating plugins but now it’s not with no intervention or changes from me.

Is there anything else I should be checking?
