Could not create directory error in installation.

  • I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. When installing via WordPress admin I received this error:
    Could not create directory. /home/<<user>>/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/sdk/Aws/Aws/Ec2/Enum
    Plugin install failed.

    I downloaded the plugin from Wwww.remarpro.com and uploaded the zip file via the WordPress admin and got this error:
    Could not create directory. /home/<<user>>/public_html/wp-content/plugins/backwpup/sdk/Aws/Guzzle/Http/QueryAggregator
    Plugin install failed.

    Lastly I unzipped the plugin locally and uploaded the plugin via FTP.
    No errors but I just get the job “Job Started” message I have seen in another post.

    It doesn’t seem like the plugin cleans itself up when uninstalling. When I reinstalled all the backup jobs were still there.
