Could not create directory and images broken

  • Hello to everyone. After updating wordpress and my theme (premium), i got all kinds of errors on my two websites.

    In subdirectory: thecover.gr
    Some of the images were broken, inside the library and inside the posts, along with the header.
    Tried to fix this with my host, who tried to restore my website from a backup and adviced me to enable hotlinks, because they said i had a big database. After a few hours, all my images were completely broken. Plugin icons, theme photos, media, everywhere. I couldn’t see a single on image on my websites.
    In addition,on the same day, apparently hackers found a backdoor and defaced my site. I can’t exactly tell how this happened, or how i got access back, because i did so many things (security plugins,deleted files from wp folders,deleted admin users etc.), and i don’t know which resulted in the solution of cleaning my websites from the hack.
    After that, my main problems, remained the same, with images broken everywhere. I tried to solve this with my host once again and they insisted that i need a developer to optimize my website. Finally, i thought that maybe they were wrong about the db size and i disabled hotlinks in Cpanel. 99% of the images came back at once. In both my sites.
    The new problem i am experiencing after all these, is that now i can not install any plugins in my primary website. I can install new themes, or media to both my sites, but no plugins at my primary website.
    Also, the 1% of my images has not come back. Any solutions to these?

    Also, my host technicians said that many of my problems were occuring because of my security plugins, so they deleted them. And i don’t want to get hacked again. What are my options, besides heavy security plugins?

    Please, keep in mind, that i am not a developer. I just maintain my sites on my own, so i don’t understand much tech stuff
