  • Can you share a screenshot of the wp-content/plugins directory in your FTP client so we can see the ownership and permissions?

    Also, is wordpress30 the name of a plugin folder? What happens when you try to navigate to this directory: /public_html/wp-content/plugins/

    Hey Chrishajer

    Thanks for the reply,

    Please follow this link to see the screenshot of my content and plugin permissions on photobucket as i cannot upload photos here. Photo bucket

    While navigating to any file, everything works fine, but when I try to upload, i will get an error report which reads as follows,

    550 Can’t change directory to /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress30: No such file or directory

    @chrishajer

    Yes, wordpress30 is a name of plugin, though it is not the only plugin that disturbs, but every other one i tried to upload either through ftp of through wordpress admin back end.

    The issue is that you cannot upload any plugin? For example, what is the error message when you try to install this plugin?

    Thanks @chrishajer

    when i tried to upload plugin through admin dashboard, i received an error message which read

    Could not create directory

    When i tried to upload through ftp client, i receives this error

    550 Can’t change directory to /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress30: No such file or directory

    I have tried to change the file permission to 777, yet no effect.

    Something does not make sense, but we’re not going to be able to help you with it remotely. You’ll need to find some help to be able to log in and determine why you’re getting a 550 error in your FTP client. If you cannot find any local assistance, you can use this site to post a job and hire someone to help you:

    There are many other WordPress and PHP job sites as well if you search for them.
