Could new version break?

  • Sir or ma’am, I currently use the Author Writer template for my website. Today, I logged on to post a new blog and when I tried to post the blog, the message I received was that there was a critical error. I noted that YOAST let me know that WordPress moved forward and released a new version. (Yhea!) Being a total web novice, I am wondering if the update my cause issues with the Author Writer template? If so, is there a work around or should I seek a new template to use? Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to help me with this issue. V/R Michael

    The critical error you encountered when trying to post a new blog may be related to the recent WordPress update, but it’s not necessarily the fault of the Author Writer template itself.
