• What’s the point of offering a free caching plugin that only works if you happen to have their CDN service? It may work just great, but I guess we’ll never know! I’ve used several other caching plugins that are free and work fine. I thought I’d give this one a try see how it compared; sorry I wasted my time.

    Hi @falconreid

I would just like to clarify what the requirements are to use the LiteSpeed Cache plugin.

The optimization features of the plugin may be used by anyone on any server.

The caching features require a LiteSpeed server, because the cache is a server-level cache. Without a LiteSpeed server, it can’t work. So, in order to use the caching functions, you need OpenLiteSpeed (free open source web server), LiteSpeed Enterprise, LiteSpeed Web ADC, or QUIC.cloud CDN. Any of those options will work.

So, yes, having our CDN is one way that you can use LiteSpeed cache, but it’s not the only way.
