I have tested this plugin and it looks excellent. Does it have the ability to vary the cost of placing an ad, dependent on how much they are asking for their item.

    e.g
Items up to the value of $50 – Cost of placing an ad $1.00
Items up the value of $500 – Cost of placing an ad $5.00
Items above the value of $500 – Cost of placing an ad $10.00

It’s a key requirement of ours that we need in a classifieds plugin.
Could you advise if this plugin has this feature as I can’t seem to find it.
    Thanks

    Steve

  • Hi Steve,

    Thanks for contacting me here.

Right now, AWPCP doesn’t have this capability. Our plans are fixed, meaning it’s a fixed price no matter what price of item you list.

We can consider adding this for the future, but it’s not available today.

Thank you for the quick response. I very much appreciate your good work on this plugin.
In my view it would make a lot of sense to base a price plan on the actual asking price of the item being advertised.
I’m considering setting up a specialist site where people might advertise vehicles as well as small items like spares. I can’t really justify charging the same price for advertising a vehicle as I would for a spare wheel. I am aware that I could create categories to differentiate items but this relies on people honesty to select the right category. It’s the only thing preventing me, and possibly other from adopting this system. I do hope that you can see your way to adding it as a feature. I’d even be happy to pay for it as an add on.

    Hi rocknets,

    You’re welcome.
