• This is strange.

I’m in the “New York” time zone. My blog always stated the correct time.

Recently, it started to switch to the following day four hours early.

Naturally, I went to settings. It had the correct date and time in there. I re-saved those settings. The issue didn’t correct itself.

Next, I emailed my hosting service. They actually moved it up to a higher-level tech, who tells me the server time is correct and that the problem is in my blog. (of course he tells me that)

I maintain a calendar of events on my site with a “Happens Today” and “Happens Soon” in my sidebar. It’s misleading when it switches to the following day four hours early.

Well, it’s 9:45pm on a Friday night in Lynn, MA., but already Saturday on my blog and I seem to not have anything in my power to correct it. ??

    Help?

    Thanks.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. It’s really a big deal because one of the primary functions of my site is the events calendar.

No more help on this? I’m getting kind of desperate. There MUST be a fix!?

The site I’m talking about – It is correct until 8pm each evening, while the settings page is always correct.

Still no luck! I tried setting the time zone incorrectly to compensate, and it seems to make no difference to the front page.

Posts are still being logged as the correct time in date, in spite of the fact that the front page is now moving to the next day five hours early.

Why would the front page be five hours ahead of the rest of the blog, which knows the correct time according to the settings page?

I haven’t had a lot of time to deal with this. I’m still “stuck” in this situation and I’ve been pouring over everything to try to find what I missed. But to be honest. I have all the settings correct.

AND to add insult to injury, it has gone from being four hours off on the front page to five. However, the main back-end and all post dates and times remain correct.

Now, I’m practically begging on my knees for help..

I have the same problem, or at least a similar one. I bet you that if the forums here were organized into subforums with specific categories, we would never have this problem of never being responded to. I blame not being answered on a sucky organization structure.

Not only that, but we are never really notified of responses. I’ve learned a few things about what not to do on my support forums from this forums…
