Correct procedure to create pages

  • Hello,

    In WP doc I can read: <quote>WordPress can be configured to use different Page Templates for different Pages. Toward the bottom of the Write->Write Page administration panel is a drop-down labeled “Page Template”.</quote>

    I do not see this drop-down in WP 2.0.3 and I wonder how to assign a special style sheet to new pages.

    What is the correct procedure to create pages?

    This is a theme specific issue.
    If you don’t have a Page template – the dropdown doesn’t show.
    If you have only the default template (page.php) the dropdown doesn’t show (which is logical – no choices anyway)
    If you have more Page Templates – created exactly as it is described in the Codex – the dropdown will appear.

    (Just try to switch to the default, and you will see the available Page templates).
