Thank you for providing such an amazing plugin. I love how user-friendly it is, and that it has features for both beginners and experts. I wanted to ask about one of the beginner features, File Permissions.

The All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin recommends that the permission for the wp-config file should be 640, but according to this official WordPress support article, “wp-config.php should be 440 or 400 to prevent other users on the server from reading it.”

So I’m confused as to which permission is actually the right one. If anyone could help me figure this out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi,

I understand your concern. Our plugin currently follows the standards file permissions set out by WordPress. However you are most welcome to implement stricter permissions in your site.

Let me know if you need more information or help.

    Thank you
