Correct dimension/weight calculation

    Hi,

    Id just like to query one or two things.

    1. Is the Parcel, flyer, meduim and Large dimensions required as well as the products having their exact weight and dimentsion required in order to correctly work out the shipping quote?

    2. We have some products that are small in size, though due to them being fragile if we courier one item it will need to be in a box and also multiple items could fit in the same box, though there is a treshold say for eg. 6 that can only fit and then we would need a big box or two boxes. How would that be calculated or is there a settings where you can set items per box for example?

    Hi @dphoenix,

    1. Only the Flyer and Medium dimensions are required. Products require their dimensions and weights to be added in order to calculate a more accurate quote.

    2. Currently, you can select ‘Always pack as single parcel’ under the product options, which will add the item to its own parcel (which matches the size of the product). This may give you close to what you are looking for, as we don’t currently have a feature where the calculations will add only a single product * quantity to a single parcel.

    Thanks very much for the response, I’m not sure if “always pack as a single parcel” would work as some items can fit up to 6 products per box and others even 20 products per box, so when it gets over that threshold another box would be required even if it was just one product. Its a pity theres not some sort of option where you can set a box total per product level, if that makes sense. thanks
