• Hello,

I have a problem with canonical urls. I embed an album on one page with a shortcode. As I noticed, nggallery works together with “WordPress SEO” (ng_tags), I also use this SEO-plugin.

The problem is, that WordPressSEO or nggallery completely ignore the generated urls from the gallery-script for the canonical url. The canonical url for a gallery is always the same page-url, where I added the shortcode for the album. I don’t want to create tons of pages for each gallery so I deactivate the option “The album will not link to a gallery subpage. The gallery is shown on the same page.” in nggallery.

Can you add an functionality, that WordPressSEO and nggallery works better hand in hand and automaticly generate the correct canonical urls for every ngalbum and nggallery?

    THAT would be awesome.

    Thanks a lot,
    Sven

I updated WordPress and all plugins … now:

    WordPress 3.3.1
    NextGEN Gallery 1.9.1
    WordPress SEO by Yoast 1.1.2

But the wrong canonical urls are still there. :/
