Starting on 22 October, all mobile URLs (ie AMP) are suddenly giving a warning in GSC about speed issues. Our AMP traffic has fallen off a cliff since then [screenshots to both below]

I also noticed something strange in the AMP section on GSC today. In the AMP section, urls are not showing up with /amp added to them. They do show pages as being valid, so it might be a canonical confusion somewhere (possibly a Google error like there was in September…)? I might also be losing my mind, but I’m pretty sure it showed / amp before.

I know Google has had a lot of mobile indexing issue recently (which they claim to have resolved), so I know this might not necessarily relate to the plugin, but thought I’d check just in case.

This issue occurred not because of our plugin. It happened because of the Yoast SEO plugin. Which is why there is a decline in AMP page indexing. The issue is resolved now with Yoast SEO plugin update(15.2.1). Google will take some time to index it again.

Please re-crawl your website in Google search console. And check once whether having the same issue or not. Then do let us know.

    I don’t use the Yoast Plugin….

We checked your issue and found that AMP pages are valid, We didn’t find any issue on your AMP page.

Thanks. Yeah, they are valid – but they used to show /amp in the AMP section of GSC. I’ve submitted Web Vitals pages with warnings for validation though. Fingers crossed.

Just for another reference, this is what I mean about the AMP URLs in GSC. And just for clarity, it is not that the URLs are de-indexed or invalid – they are just not being shown as they normally would with /amp/

Literally every single one on the domain began showing like that since 21 October.

Also, this might or might not be related to this problem (and might be a Google thing and not related to the Plugin), but even though I have AMP Linker active, urls that prefix with the google.com/amp/mydomain – are not being tracked as AMP urls in GA.

We have inspected your AMP pages and they are valid. See the screenshots for reference https://prnt.sc/vgovra https://prnt.sc/vgonum, It won’t be any issue as AMP pages are valid.

Yes, as I have mentioned, I know they are valid.
