• Hi.

We use the free Sucuri plugin on numerous sites, including the Core Integrity Checks reporting functionality.

Lately we have been inundated with emails reporting the same four WP Core files:
    wp-includes/css/dist/editor/editor-styles-rtl.css
    wp-includes/css/dist/editor/editor-styles-rtl.min.css
    wp-includes/css/dist/editor/editor-styles.css
    wp-includes/css/dist/editor/editor-styles.min.css

Any idea when the Core Integrity Checks list will be updated to stop reporting them?

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hey Aaron –

These are files that were removed in WordPress 5.8 — but the updater (annoyingly) doesn’t actually delete them… so they’re just remnants of earlier versions.

Best thing to do is simply delete them.
