    Hi there,

I am using the core image block, but when I enter in a custom width under ‘Image Dimensions’, it doesn’t adjust the height proportionally. I have to enter the new height manually.

Is there a way to make it automatically scale proportionally when I enter in either the width or height?

    Thank you!

If you manually enter a width without changing the height, only the width attribute is applied to the img tag, there is no height specification. It looks strange in the editor, but the HTML is less strange. However, the lack of a proper height attribute could cause the browser to do extra layout work, slowing down page speed. The only way to get both properly proportioned without doing the math is to select one of the percentage buttons. But then you’re limited to the percentages shown.

The image size as it appears on a page can also be affected by your theme. In some cases the presented size does not match the size attributes you specified anyway.
