    Hello, I have error notification on my website from yith woocompare. I do not know if deleting that line of code will be my best way out. It is failing to get some contents
    plugins/yith-woocommerce-compare/plugin-fw/lib/promo/yith-promo.xml): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

    Hi there,
    thanks for reporting this issue. The problem is related to your server configuration that have set to OFF the setting allow_url_fopen in php.ini file configuration.
    After some tests we have found a different way to do the same thing and we fixed this issue.
    In order to remove the warning message from you webiste please download the file yith-promo.xml from here: https://bit.ly/31qpbRb and replace it in wp-content/plugins/yith-woocommerce-compare/plugin-fw/lib/promo/

    I have the same problem and wanted to test the workaround with the file to replace, but cannot download yith-promo.xml from here: https://bit.ly/31qpbRb

    Is there a way to get that file?

    Hi @heike-carle,
    We’ve just fixed this issue in your plugin framework; here you can find the fixed version.
    You should simply:

    • download it
    • decompress it
    • replace the plugin-fw folder in the plugin with the one you downloaded.
