• Core Files are being generated on the server after upgrading to v3.6 last August 12, 2013. It has a filename of core.<3 to 5-digit number>, check out https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ui=2&ik=aa39f8950e&view=att&th=140a025596512e64&attid=0.1&disp=inline&realattid=f_hkmbhwkq0&safe=1&zw (I have been deleting core files manually on the cpanel). I have already done some research about this and implemented some suggested solutions on some forums but still no luck with it. One of them is through deactivating some plugins and deleting those weren’t active. There are only two remaining active and installed plugins in our site which are Google XML Sitemaps and TinyMCE Advanced. Until now, core files are still being generated and our hosting service provider said that the problem is not being caused from their end so I decided to just send this ticket to you. I hope you can help us. By the way, we are using the Karma theme from themeforest and our website is https://simotechnology.com/.

Looking forward on your positive and immediate response regarding this matter. Thanks.

That link (thankfully) will not work but core files are a host problem.

That’s not really correct. If a PHP file has a problem then it should generate a 500 error and no core file. If PHP on the host is really crashing like that then the host provider should be able to tell you why or at least what is crashing via their log.

Thanks for your reply. We will try with our hosting service again. Any further suggestions or comments welcome.

Did you solve the problem ? what was the solution ? I am using the Karma theme also and have no active plugins. But I found out that the core files where made when I select a image from the gallery.
