Core file change documentation?

  • I’ve had a look but I can’t find a place where you can trace the history of a core file. There’s been a change to:

    /wp-admin/includes/template.php

    somwhere between 3.4.2 and 3.5.2. It affects a feature used by a client and I want to know why it was removed and if there is an alternative way to recreate this feature. The client really needs this feature but I don’t want to leave them on 3.4.2.

    If anyone can point me in the right direction to find more info… I would be super grateful! Thanks!
