  • Hm, this is very unusual and very concerning for us, although we do have to admit we don’t have a clue what might be going on.

Is (y)our plugin up to date? What problems are you experiencing exactly?

We’d love to help you out, but we would also need more information, if possible. Let us know, we’ll do our best!

    Take care!

    Best,
    Silvo

Have you contacted your hosts about this? It could be a completely unrelated server issue (it was when this happened to me).

Sorry for not updating this thread but after deactivating WordPress Related Posts, this problem went away.

I’m very diligent in updating my plugins. I’m still using the same plugins minus WRP and it’s all ok now, I don’t know how I can be of any help. Anyway, I’ve switched to nrelate for now. Thanks for the help anyway.

Edit: yes, I’ve contacted my host and this is their reply:

The core files which are the result of incorrectly finished php processes has been found in the account. This can be the result of WordPress update and the activity of multiple WordPress plugins which require too much server memory.

Wish I responded sooner to your thread, in order to help you out. And sorry for any inconvenience we might have caused — sincerely unintentional!

For what is worth, if you ever do decide to switch back to our plugin, rest assured I’ll be ready to help you out with anything that might go wrong. But I can also completely understand the situation you found yourself in, for which we are truly sorry.

All the best & we hope we’ll hear from you sometime in the future! Take care & have a nice rest of the day!

Score queries seems to be problem as they consume too much CPU.

    Ex:
    SELECT target.post_id, sum(target.weight * log(6935 / least(6935, freqs.freq))) as score

top indicates that mysqld reaches almost ~300% of %CPU with the plugin activated while visiting posts on a WordPress v3.6.1 installation and WP Related Posts v2.9 plugin.

    HTH.

    Greetings.

Hey Rael, thanks for pointing this out to us, we really appreciate it!

We have a fix nearly ready for realease, which we hope it’ll happen sometime this weekend (maybe even today). Please bear with us, since we would really like to hear your feedback.

Again —?big thanks for letting us know about the problem and your continuous patience! Take care & have a nice weekend ahead!

    Best,
    Silvo
