The copyright “footer” at the end of my messages says 2022. How is that updated to 2023? Please answer is simple terms, I am but a lowly volunteer not a power user.
My MailPoet is up to date. Obviously, because I am using this forum, my organization is a “free” subscriber. Thank you.

    Hi there @wajcgs,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Could you please provide us with a screenshot so that we can see what you are describing?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:

There is also a walkthrough guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/

Thank you for your prompt response. I tried attaching a png screenshot but it wasn’t accepted because it was a SCREENSHOT (as requested) and as such it was not associated with a url (because it was screenshot). The newsletters are password protected, because they are for members only, so that avenue is not available.

Please advise. I appreciate your help. The issue involves the default copyright/organization address footer. I do not know how to update the footer. Thank you.

    Hey @wajcgs .

The thing is that newsletters don’t come with Copyright information by default in the footer.

As for the screenshot, the tools I recommended above allow you to take screenshots and generate a link. It’s not the regular way of taking screenshots but it should work. ??

AwesomeScreenShot is pretty cool. Thank you for the prompt.

The “footer” also includes our Facebook link, so I obviously knew how to access it at some point. But, no longer.

At the bottom of a FORM (that I no longer use because I copy and paste into my email templates), I see this shortcode: <span data-font=”Courier New” class=”mailpoet-has-font” style=”font-family: Courier New”> </span>[mailpoet_form id=”14″] Might this be a clue?

    Thank you for your patience.

    Hey @wajcgs,

Thanks for sharing more information with us. From the videos you’ve shared, I can see you’re looking at the newsletter as a doc/pdf. Please note you won’t be able to change the text for future newsletters from this doc.

This is likely an email sent from your website from the MailPoet plugin, so you should go to your WordPress dashboard > MailPoet > Emails page.

If this is a Post Notification email, go to its tab and click to edit your newsletter. In the newsletter editor, you should be able to edit any text and content of your newsletter for the following emails, including the Footer block.

Please let us know if it works!

    Hi there @wajcgs,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

My solution: I started over and created a new template with the correct copyright info. I think the problem was that the newsletter editor had been reusing the same template for a few years, and that combined with the various updates rendered the template stuck in the past. Creating a new template solved the problem. I appreciate your time.
