• Hi, I updated Astra to 4.02 from 3.9.4 and found my old previous widgets in the sidebar, footer and header all disappeared. I have to rebuild them all with the new builder, not too nice!

In doing the rebuilt, I found the new Copyright widget. This is a good added on. Unlike the other widgets, this one does not have a choice of language. It can only be one version for one language as I can see. My site is bilingual and will need two instances of the Copyright widget, one for each language. Is there a way to implement this?

  • Hi @francoc30, sorry for the long delay.

What multilingual plugin you are using? We have a few docs that are related to multilingual in our Knowledge Base. You can try to search there by using Polylang or WPML or TranslatePress as a keyword in the search field.

    I hope it will help.

    Kind regards,

Hi @bsfherman, I thought my question would not be answered. But late is better than never. I already have my bilingual site running for a while. I use Polylang and Loco Translate with no issue. Just recently I found out Astra has implemented a Copyright widget. I like it. Then I found out there is no box for me to assign different languages for it. I can do this with Text or other widgets, but not Copyright. Hence my question. Below are two links to show what I am talking about. The first one is the Copyright widget showing no language assignment box, while the second one is a Text widget that has the assignment box. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi @francoc30, sorry for, again, the delay.

I cannot find the way to do this either. I will bring this to our team and we’ll see if there’s something we need to do as an improvement related to this. We are sorry for the inconvenience you may have because of this.

Also, it would be better if you can also bring this to the Polylang’s author/support, and see if, maybe, they need to add some “compatibility” thing from their side.

In the meantime, you can have a “manual” Copyright using Widget.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

I honestly believe this is something Astra would do. If Text widget can accommodate multi lingual, then Copyright widget can be done, may be with a little more coding. Please bring it up to the dev team and hopefully it can be an improvement in future release. Thanks.

Yes, I have done it. We’ll see if we can add this improvement to our future updates.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

Very well @bsfherman. That is great and thanks for working on it. Look forward to see the improvement in the next version. Will it be in the next update?

    Hi @francoc30,

Would you please consider reaching out to us through our Support Portal? There’s something I would like to share with you regarding this. However, since it is related to the Astra Pro plugin, I can’t do that here.

Just in case you are not aware, discussing anything related to the pro version is not allowed in this forum, as mentioned in the Forum Guidelines.

When you submit a ticket, you can mention about this thread so you don’t need to re-explain anything. Or you can also tag my name in your ticket, so the ticket will be routed to me.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
