copying photos from another folder on the server

  • I have 6,000 or more photos already on my server. Can i just copy them from the folder they are in to a folder within the WP folder?

  • You can, but they won’t be added to the media library by default. There are a lot of plugins that will help you with that, so it’s worth exploring those options.

    Ok..if i drag them in, wp makes 3 or 4 versions of the photos..which I dont want…and does not preserve the folders they are in.
