Copying local site over to and replacing a live site

  • Hi,

    I’ve been tasked with updating a small website. I’ve basically created a new one from scratch that’s currently being hosted locally on my PC (using Local by Flywheel). I’m happy with the new site I’ve created and now want to copy it over to the live site, replacing the old version in the process.

    How do I do this? I’m tempted to follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pISvhK4Iys. If I was to do exactly as he’s done, with the exception of selecting ‘Restore and keep the original domain (URL) unchanged’ (20:48 in the video), would this work? I want the domain name to remain as it is now, just with the website itself updated.

    Any and all help appreciated!
