Copying Blog and Ping Questions

  • I currently have a blog that I want to make an exact duplicate of. I am planning doing this by setting up a fresh install of WP under a different domain and then importing all of the data from the old blog through a WordPress eXtended RSS file.

    My question is, when I do this, do the Update/Notification Services that I have listed under <Admin> <Options> <Writing> get pinged for every post imported? Or do they get pinged at all?
