    This is an odd problem
    I needed to delete an email contact from my site and replace it with another contact which was already on the site in another place
    So I deleted the original one then copied the new one and pasted it in
    The pasted in item starts at <span id=”eeb and finishes at </noscript> but the result on the viewed page is blank
    Does this mean that you can’t have several references using the same script

    No, those scripts are encapsulated parts which don’t interfere which each other.

    The problem could be caused when using the same <span id="..">. The ID should be unique on the page (and correspond to the one used within the script).
