• Hey there,
I just bought a dead expiring domain and wanted to get it back to what it was years ago. So I went to the Wayback Machine archive website and saved the page. However when I try to import it into wordpress as a template I fail.

The first time it said the CSS was missing. But now that I created a CSS file from what I found on the html it just doesn’t even appear in the template section. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve considered the issue may be I’ve copied the CSS wrong, but for the CSS I built I took the stuff that was in between [style] and [/style] in the index of the saved website.

This is way more complicated than i thought it would be because it would imply selecting bits and pieces of the html file and identifying what’s php and whatsnot. Isn’t there a more easy guide to downloading a webpage and importing it into wordpress?

Anyway, up till now I did a few modifications to the CSS to make it identify my theme name but that didn’t work. Do you or anyone have any idea where I’m going? thanks

Well i managed to find a workaround. All i did was paste the html into a wordpress page, it’s not much but its better than nothing… no i guess ill try to get rid of the blogroll and header etc ??
