    Hello,

while importing of my Joomla 1.5.26 data I get errors for some images:
    [fgj2wp] Can’t copy https://XXX/images/Hunde_vor.png to /www/htdocs/XXX/wp/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/Hunde_vor.png : Forbidden
The strange thing is, that some images are copied all right without any errors, first thought was, that it might be a problem with spaces in the file names (since a site user kept uploading files with a space in between), but also other images can not be copied. Any idea?
I already stored the image folder on the server on which wordpress is running under /wp-root/images/
I also set the permissions for the wp-content folder to 777 for test purposes, still got the same error.

    Hello,

The plugin imports well the images with spaces. So this is not the problem.

The forbidden message is a message returned by your Joomla web site. You should see on the Joomla server why this error occurs. Do you have the same error when you click on https://xxx/images/Hunde_vor.png
You don’t have to move manually the images or create a folder on the WordPress host. The plugin takes in charge the transfer and the storage of the images.

I can access the images on the URL given in the error messages. I tried both ways, the same error appeared when I was trying to import from the Joomla Webspace.

I advice you to ask your hosting provider, as I don’t think it comes from the plugin.
